چکیده

This contribution addresses the influence of voice similarity on a shadowing experiment. Two groups of participants (implicit-knowledge and novelvoice) had to shadow a target voice under two conditions, i.e. (1) when the target voice and the distracter voice were acoustically similar and (2) when they were dissimilar. The error rates did not differ significantly between the two groups, but for both groups, the number of errors was significantly larger in the dissimilarity condition. This demonstrates that voice similarity is a factor to be considered in shadowing experiments.

The Effect of Working Memory Training on Auditory Stream Segregation in Auditory Processing Disorders Children

Objectives: This study investigated the efficacy of working memory training for improving working memory capacity and related auditory stream segregation in auditory processing disorders children. Methods: Fifteen subjects (9-11 years), clinically diagnosed with auditory processing disorder participated in this non-randomized case-controlled trial. Working memory abilities and auditory strea...

Relation between Working Memory Capacity and Auditory Stream Segregation in Children with Auditory Processing Disorder

Background: This study assessed the relationship between working memory capacity and auditory stream segregation by using the concurrent minimum audible angle in children with a diagnosed auditory processing disorder (APD).Methods: The participants in this cross-sectional, comparative study were 20 typically developing children and 15 children with a diagnosed APD (age, 9–11 years) according to...

An Effect of Amplitude M Perceptual Segregation Of

Auditory stream segregation is know as a process whereby sound elements are separated and integrated into some perceptual objects as a coherent whole, in the auditory scene analysis. Such a perceptual faculty is considered to be dependent on some factors in sounds such as similarity, good continuation, common fate, disjoint allocation, closure, and so on. For example, when we listen to fast alt...

[Effect of stimulus intensity on visual stream segregation].

Two experiments were performed to examine the effect of stimulus intensity on VISS (visual stream segregation) which is a kind of beta movement first described by Bregman and Achim (1973). Six subjects were required to find the upper threshold of ISI for producing VISS under various conditions of the stimulus intensity in each experiment. The ISI threshold decreased as the stimulus intensity wa...

طراحی یک روش آموزش ناموازی جدید برای تبدیل گفتار با عملکردی بهتر از آموزش موازی

Introduction: The art of voice mimicking by computers, has with the computer have been one of the most challenging topics of speech processing in recent years. The system of voice conversion has two sides. In one side, the speaker is the source that his or her voice has been changed for mimicking the target speaker’s voice (which is on the other side). Two methods of p...
